Worms in Cats
- Many cats show no symptoms of worm infestations. (Some symptoms include vommiting, diarrihea, appetite changes, weight loss and changes in behavior)
- Some worms in your cat can also be transmitted to people
- It is very easy for any cat to become infected by worms (transmitted through bugs, insect bites, soil, food, water, poop)
- Deworm your cat regularly (house cats once every three months)
- Four main types of worms in cats are: Round Worms, Hook Worm, Whip Worm and Tape Worm. There are also many other types of worms.
Deworming cats
Tablets are easily mixed with some wet food OR granules/paste is also easily mixed with food – What BRAND? : ask your Vet for a recommendation suited to your Geographic area
Adult cats living outside or going outside daily – once per month
Adult indoor cats going outside infrequwntly – once every three months
Kittens are de-wormed every twoweeks until 3 months old and monthly until 6 months old
